Daniel will be giving a lecture in Montreal, Canada, this month: ProZ.com Regional Conference in Montreal

On 13 and 14 October 2007, a ProZ.com regional conference will be held in Montreal. There will be two days of presentations, workshops, focus groups, networking and socializing in this buzzing city. The conference program with sessions in English and French will focus on two subjects, one of them translating for the film industry (voice-over and subtitling), and there will be several sessions on this topic.  We are delighted that one of these will be led by Daniel Pageon who will talk about writing the spoken word as opposed to the written one....

Since his lecture to translators in York in May 2005 Daniel has hosted many successful workshops for translators wanting to experience recording their voice for the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.

A 2-page ITI Bulletin article has been published about Daniel and his workshops!

Following the enthusiasm of the workshop participants, Daniel has held Phase Two workshops where the artists are able to practice recording to picture.

On 7th October 2006, Daniel gave a lecture on Translating for the Spoken Word for the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
